Team Georgia Crafted + Leukemia & Lymphoma Society #MWOY Campaign

Dear Georgia Crafted Friends,

By the time you finish reading this blog post, approximately two people will have been diagnosed with some form of blood cancer.

And, according to the latest statistics, an average of one person will have died.

Over the next 9.5 weeks, it's our personal mission to help change these statistics and we need your help!

Our owner & founder, Erin Zwigart, has been nominated for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Woman of the Year for 2017. Now through June 10th, Erin is setting out to raise a minimum of $100,000 for LLS, in support of its longstanding mission to find cures and ensure patients access to the treatments they need.

Erin was directly impacted by blood cancer when her maternal grandmother, Betty Douglass, died from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma mere weeks after Erin got married 10 years ago. “To this day, I am forever grateful that she was able to attend my wedding,” she says. “We said our goodbyes to one another at our wedding reception, as we both knew the end was near. A day doesn’t go by when I don’t think of her and her sweet smile and her infectious laugh. I will always imagine what it would be like if she could have met her only great-grandchildren, Katie & Chloe. Instead, like millions of others, cancer took her life. She was only 79 years old.”

Every dollar Erin raises counts as one vote and the candidate who receives the most votes/raises the most money is crowned the Man or Woman of the Year. Please use this link: http://www.tinyurl.com/ErinZwigart to make your tax-deductible donation. The winners will be announced at a Gala on June 10, 2017.

With your help, we can make a real difference in the lives of millions of people!
