Georgia Crafted Opens First Brick-and-Mortar Retail Space
ATLANTA, GA – Locally-owned business, Georgia Crafted, opened its first brick-and-mortar retail location within The Little Marketplace in Smyrna, GA. Originally founded as an E-commerce store by Erin Zwigart, Georgia Crafted focuses on selling locally-sourced products and supporting Georgia artisans.
Georgia Crafted has grown over the years to feature over 160 unique, artisan-made products handcrafted in the Peach State as well as offer unique subscription box and corporate gift services. In its new retail space, Georgia Crafted will continue its fundamental values of supporting the local Georgia economy by selling Georgia-made products and furniture.
To celebrate Georgia Crafted’s 5th anniversary and continued growth, Zwigart decided to take on the new venture of opening the store’s first brick-and-mortar location.
“Our goal from day one has always been to spread the word about products made in Georgia and encourage folks to shop local & support our local Georgia economy. This new venture into a brick and mortar space will continue to help reinforce our mission.”
Zwigart knew that the location would need to be in the original birthplace and home of the small business, Smyrna.
“We have lived in Smyrna for 12 years and have run our e-commerce business from Smyrna for the past 5 years. We love Smyrna - the charm, the vibrancy and the overall community. We will remain here as long as we can.”
A ribbon-cutting ceremony as well as a Fifth Anniversary celebration was held on September 4, 2018 in The Little Marketplace. The event was sponsored by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce. Attendees were able to meet the Georgia Crafted Peaches, the women behind the small business, as well as sample some of the top-selling Georgia Crafted products from around the Peach State.
During the ribbon cutting ceremony, Zwigart expressed her deep appreciation to the Smyrna community and Georgia Crafted customers for their continued support.
